Snap Dragon Guitars have officially launched their latest model of travel guitar.
The Snap Dragon Picnic is a full sized Parlor style acoustic, that still folds down into a bag small enough to take as carry on luggage on most airlines.
It features a 24″ scale maple neck with a 20 fret maple fingerboard. The under saddle Piezo pickup is coupled with a three band EQ and built in tuner. The sound board is bamboo, with a aluminium center block for stability. This is mounted on a polymer back. both materials have a unique acoustic quality whilst also being flexible and durable. The sound hole is positioned to give the best possible projection.
Gerry Dale, creator and owner of Snap Dragon commented: “This is a departure from our previous instruments and it’s something we’ve been looking to do for some time. I love parlor style guitars and I wanted to offer something more conventional to our customers, whilst still retaining the principles that I designed our guitars for in the first place.”
